It seems almost weekly that we break the news about an additional site for our real estate clients to be found upon. A month ago it was FindMeaHome, then 2 weeks ago it was ebay australia and now its NineMSN.

Domain has partnered with NineMSN in a similar manner to its relationship with Ebay. MSN were until now promoting realestate.com.au but now they have moved over to the Domain camp.

This is further great news for our delighted clients and our marketing reach continues to grow well in excess of any other private sale system in Australia.

We have also arranged for Residex's FindMeAHome website to take our listings automatically as well.

I think that's what you call Uber Marketing reach!

PropertyNow is leading the pack and we intend to stay there so that our clients will always know they are getting the best marketing real estate exposure in Australia.

Now we give you EBAY as well !

How much better can it possibly get?

Our paid clients now have their listing seen over at the online giant EBAY.

In an outstanding marketing move all Domain listings will now also appear on EBAY after the two huge websites decided to partner with one another this week.

Because we already place our paid clients on Domain, they are also shown on EBAY by default.

In addition to that we are now BETA testing our latest website partner - realestatelisted.com.au

It's just another example of the phenomenal power and reach our system provides private sellers. Our system literally gives sellers the greatest marketing reach in the entire country, including listing with any local real estate agent.

Online real estate listing form enhanced

The PropertyNow real estate listing online order has had a makeover with a more thorough explanation of how to get your property listed with us via the form.

Small and subtle but important changes included:-

Changes to text about the ad headline - People were mistaking the word title to mean whether the property was Torrens Title etc when we were actually after their advertisment Heading

Changes to text about image compatability - We included a better explanation of the need to resize large images prior to uploading and the need for images to be GIF, JPEG or PNG

Changes to text about Payment - Better explanation of payment methods ie Paypal or Direct Deposit

Form Parameters - We removed the necessity to upload at least one image to make the form process correctly.

We still need at least one image of course, since the portals require at least one, but the form is now far more forgiving of people who miss uploading the image .....or who don't have an image ready at the time they order their online listing.

We also added easier dropdown selections on most of the descriptive fields

The basic idea was to make the form more reliable and easier for PropertyNow's home sellers as well as to ease some of the extra admin caused in answering questions about the PropertyNow sign up process.

If any users think the form could be still futher improved we'd love your input so drop us an email with your suggestions about the signup form or the site in general.

Now that the form has improved we will turn our attention to the search facility that enables house buyers to find their property as easily as possible on our site.

Such an improvement will be good for both house buyers and house sellers who use Propertynow and so it's a priority. Thanks for all the positive feedback about the site as well as the constructive criticism.

Australian real estate body blow

The announcement last week that one of Australia's larger real estate portals was shutting down ( at least under it's current format ) isn't good news for real estate agents or the public

The site stood at around number 4 in the pecking order of real estate portals designed for agents. By most accounts it was behind realestate.com.au, domain and HomeHound but was seen as an up and coming player in the market and able to keep the front runners honest.

The closure of MyHome would leave too much power in the hands of the 2 larger portals yet again.
Whilst those are excellent sites the public and the agents needed the benefits that stem from the competition provided by another large real estate portal.

Despite MyHome being new ( around 18 months ) and needing refinement it had been showing steady improvement in terms of both it's public and agent interface.

Its daunting that a site with so much going for it could not survive longer and it is hoped that another business will take up the cudgels and provide the healthy competition that the australian real estate market needs.

PropertyNow's new website

Since it's inception in 2006 PropertyNow has been through 3 site makeovers and it's latest offering is decidedly high tech.

The new site launched on January 23rd. 2008, with not only a new look, but also many new tools and resources to help first time buyers and sellers as well as seasoned investors.

With the advent of Web 2.0, PropertyNow took the decision to begin melding audio and video into its offerings. The new site will have a growing database of real estate and wealth creation articles, finance and tax info and market data.

There's even a site poll so clients can tell PropertyNow in what direction it should head.

Looking further ahead PropertyNow will consider launching it's own real estate membership site where buyers and sellers, financiers and developers as well as people from ancillary industries can interract.

Meanwhile the brand new site will allow PropertyNow to focus on it's goal of remaining the number one resource for real estate private sale in Australia.

The agents continue to circle

It's always hard to be a leader in anything. You can sit back and play the game like everyone else or you can go out and rattle a few cages and see where it takes you.

In providing the greatest real estate private sale system in Australia, PropertyNow has earned the ire of a whole bunch of people..chiefly real estate agents. That is to say - other real estate agents -because Propertynow is actually owner by a Licensed agent.

You see, the fact that the general public absolutely raves about the service we provide at PropertyNow counts for nothing with many real estate agents. Many of them would prefer that the world stood still. Such short sighted and profit driven agents continue to seek to undermine the service we are bringing to the Australian public (by complaining to anybody who will listen) about our private seller mechanism. Fortunately the incredible response from our friends ( you the Australian public ) keeps us forever motivated in continuing to bring our amazing service to you.

Agents of course will be agents and will go to almost any lengths to protect their hallowed turf. We refuse to be bullied however and where necessary have taken legal steps to silence those bullies. We are also not adverse to engaging the media in exposing the bullying tactics and shing the light on a cartel that would seek to maintain a real estate status quo that has been in place for 100 years.

We were particularly gratified by our strong presence in the September 07 edition of The Sunday Telegraph in which we featured very heavily. Likwise our honorable mentions the month prior to that inside Money Magazine and Smart Investor. Although we weren't seeking such splendid free publicity - it is indicative of the widespread interest that the media and the public hold for our unique service.

Rest assured PropertyNow will continue to grow and expand our full range of services especially as so many of you (our clients) have pleaded with us to do so.

We aren't anti-agent of course and there will always be a place for ethical and hard working real estate agents. Such quality people have nothing to fear by the public having greater choice when selling their greatest asset. I continue to count several agents as close friends and realise just how diligently they work for their clients.

PropertyNow will continue to promote choice in the market with the option of full service real estate in our local area and private sale assistance for other clients needing such a resource. May we also take this opportunity to thank all our clients who have kindly submittted testimonials for use on our site.

PropertyNow expands again

Conceived just 18 months ago as a real estate private sale system,PropertyNow continues to add still more sites, tools and resources as it becomes a real estate powerhouse.

Starting with no clients less than 2 years ago and just one crudely constructed website, PropertyNow has recently added yet another site to it's stable of online real estate selling websites.

The addition of australianrealestatesale.com to the fold means that there are now 6 websites owned and operated by Propertynow. Part of our expansion also revolves around building further websites for ourselves.... as well as those wanting to follow in our foosteps by having their own real estate sales portal for their local community.

The recent upgrade to our flagship site ( this one ) is all thanks to our resident web mistress and all round guru, Coreyna. This has been the fourth rebuild of the PropertyNow website that Coreyna has overseen. Each upgrade has brought with it greater flexibility, ease of use and the power to display our clients homes in an ever more professional and appealing manner.

Stay tuned for even more bells and whistles in the future as well as our real estate membership site and further innovations.
