Well, the buyers contacted us through Property Now. They were aware that they contacted us privately.

What services did PropertyNow provide, that assisted you most?
Due to selling the property for seven years it has truly assisted us to pay once until sold. Thank you for having this option. Through Property Now we also advertised the same property ‘for lease’. Had we leased it we had probably had a buyer already through another enquiry also through Property Now.
Were you hesitant before trying private selling? What made you decide to give it a go?
No, I was not hesitant. We were looking at how we could advertise by ourselves, as there was not enough activity, let alone the result, through real estate agents. Most real estate websites accept only real estate agents as advertisers. This monopolises the market, increases prices and discriminates owners who try to sell. Once we found Property Now we did not hesitate to try.
Do you have any interesting, fun or unique stories to share about your experience?
Yes, our ‘for sale’ and SOLD signs were stolen or removed from their positions a few times. Not always sure by whom. I can’t understand what would be the value or the purpose of doing that.
When you sold your property yourself, how did it feel? Was it empowering? What are you going to do now?
It is hard to describe the feeling. Wonderful! I liked the fact that I could make our own changes to the adverts. This ensued that the content through Property Now was published correctly.
What do you plan to do now that you’ve sold, how will the sale benefit you?
Sit back and relax.
If you could go back in time and give yourself some advice before selling your own home, what would it be?
By the way, we were selling our commercial property, not home. If I did it again I would go to Property Now sooner.
What was the hardest part for you personally and how did you overcome it?
The wait. I overcome it with patience. I admit the latter was hard.
